Health Service in Walungurru (Kintore), Kiwirrkurra, Gibson Desert, Central Australia. A complementary exhibition curated for Burra following the 1000 Journeys exhibition at the Flinders University Art Museum (part of Tarnanthi Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art). Audiences will view, for the first time in Burra, influences of some of the key Indigenous artists of the 20th Century.
Roger Drennan is a character with tales to tell of life as stockman, horseman, road train operator and a life of painting, sketching and designing up and down the track through Central Australia. On show in the Bence Room is his series of landscape paintings of the Flinders Ranges, Through the Mirage.
