Riverland Textile Artists – Threads of Life

From their formation 11 years ago 8 Riverland textile artists with a range of fibre backgrounds have challenged each other to look beyond their own fields of expertise, to be inventive in sourcing and using new or different materials, be innovative in design to produce an annual exhibition that reflects their own unique interpretations of the theme and a surprising diversity in the pieces brought together to show fibre and textiles as an art form.

The exhibition includes pictorial wall hangings, sculptured dimensional pieces and figures, small intricately constructed works of art, felted garments and hangings, collage and mixed media pieces that display a range of techniques, materials and interpretations truly “ Threads of Life”.
