This familiar mid north scene is the subject of Alan’s workshop. He will supply photos, guide you through the elements of composition and selection of what to add and leave out, colour choices and brushwork technique. At the end of the day you will have the knowledge of how to paint in watercolour and a painting to take home and enjoy.

PAINTS:
1) French Ultramarine Blue
2) Cobalt Blue
3) Alizarin Crimson
4) Burnt Sienna
5) Yellow Ochre
BRUSHES:
1)mop /round
2) synthetic – size 12 (or similar)
3) synthetic – size 4 6 (for fine detail work)
WATERCOLOUR PAPER
1) Arches / Saunders ( or similar ) – 300 GSM medium texture
size – 380m x 560 mm (1 sheet divided into 2 pieces)
MISCELLANEOUS
1) paper towel
2) water container, masking tape, spray bottle
3) Painting boards to attach watercolour paper
4) sketch book
5) 4B pencil
6) table easel
7) plastic sheet / old towel to protect the table
